What is SSC JE?
SSC JE is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) of pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission.

SSC JE Eligibility 2020
SSC JE eligibility criteria differ as per the post applied by a candidate. However, the basic parameters that candidates need to fulfill in order to meet SSC JE 2020 eligibility criteria are:
- Nationality/citizenship: A candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 or an Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries
- Educational qualification: A candidate should complete his/her degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering as on January 1, 2020
- Age limit: A candidate should be aged maximum 32 years as on January 1, 2020

SSC JE selection process includes the following steps:
Step 1: Fill SSC JE Application Form
Candidates need to visit the official website and fill the SSC JE application form online. To apply, the aspirants first need to register on the official website. Thereafter, candidates need to log into their account and fill-up the form online.
Step 2: Download SSC JE Admit Card

Step 3: Appear for SSC JE exam
